I study how energy moves through buildings and cities, then I figure out how to make it cleaner. Currently interning at WSP, previously launching rockets and designing LEED Platinum buildings.

01 About

About me

I'm the oldest of three, and I've loved building things for as long as I can remember. Any puzzle laid out in front of me that I can work from start to finish is the most satisfying thing. That mix of art and problem-solving is what brought me to NYU Tandon, where I'm studying mechanical engineering with a focus on sustainable energy systems.

I've interned at WSP doing energy modeling for commercial buildings, validated $362K in energy savings at Piedmont Service Group, and helped design an award-winning LEED Platinum building in Revit. I've also built rocket fins for a NASA competition and traveled to Vietnam to model air quality solutions using digital twin simulations.

What keeps me in energy specifically is that the constraints are real — code requirements, budgets, physics — and the solutions that actually work are the ones that hold up under all of them at once. That's the kind of problem I want to keep working on.

When I'm not in the lab or on a job site, I'm probably knitting, lifting weights, or exploring a museum somewhere. I like making things, sharing what I make, and being part of something bigger than myself.

WSP
Mechanical Engineering Energy Intern · New York, NY
  • Used AutoCAD to lay out mechanical systems — from digester equipment to generators, heat exchangers, and backup boilers — for a biogas-to-power generation facility
  • Ran pump sizing and heat exchanger calculations in AFT Fathom and Bluebeam to support customer-facing design decisions on a combined-cycle power plant project
  • Expanded from AutoCAD into Revit, Pipeflo, and Power BI across 5 additional projects following the first summer

Global Focus Area

My global challenge centers on sustainable energy systems, exploring how engineering innovation can democratize access to clean energy, reduce emissions, and create equitable climate solutions. My work at WSP and Piedmont Service Group showed me how much energy is wasted in commercial buildings. Studying abroad in Milan and collaborating in Vietnam taught me that solutions have to be designed with communities, not just for them.
