Mission statement
As a mechanical engineering student driven by curiosity and purpose, I strive to design innovative solutions that advance clean energy access, empower learners, and enable scientific discovery on Earth and beyond.
Grand Engineering Challenge #14: Engineer the Tools of Scientific Discovery
The National Academy of Engineering’s Grand Challenge to engineer the tools of scientific discovery highlights the essential role of engineering in enabling groundbreaking advances across all scientific domains. As we push the boundaries of knowledge, from understanding subatomic particles to exploring distant galaxies, engineers are tasked with designing the instruments, technologies, and platforms that make these discoveries possible.
Space exploration exemplifies the transformative potential of this challenge. The major technology of today: propulsion systems, autonomous robotics, satellite instrumentation and deep space communication networks require engineering ingenuity. These innovations not only expand our understanding of the universe, but also generate technological advances that benefit life on Earth.
My growing experiences with mechanical systems, aerospace design, and simulation software have shown me how precision and curiosity contribute to this larger pursuit of knowledge. I’m inspired by the opportunity to help create the next generation of scientific tools whether for orbit, interplanetary missions, or Earth-based discovery, that will empower quality living both on and off our planet.

UN Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education
UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 advocates for inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all, recognizing education as a cornerstone of individual empowerment, economic opportunity, and sustainable development. This goal goes beyond access. It emphasizes lifelong learning, gender equity, and the relevance of education in preparing individuals to address global challenges.
Understanding the transformative power of education, I have seen how tailored, engaging, and accessible learning environments can open doors in underserved communities. SDG 4 highlights the need to bridge systemic gaps and ensure that every learner, regardless of background, is equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive. Through involvement in STEAM outreach and academic mentorship, I have come to value education as not just a personal tool for growth, but a collective pathway to equity and innovation. Advancing this goal means investing in learners at every level, and I am committed to supporting initiatives that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and inclusive access to educational opportunities worldwide.
UN Sustainable Development Goal #7: Affordable & CLean energy
UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 emphasizes the global imperative to expand access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy. Clean energy is foundational not only to environmental health but also to economic growth, social equity, and climate resilience. Achieving this goal requires a transition to energy systems that prioritize efficiency, minimize environmental impact, and are accessible across communities and geographies.
Through my academic and professional journey, I have come to deeply appreciate the complexity and urgency of this transition. Engaging with energy optimization, sustainability standards, and environmental impact assessments has reinforced my understanding of the multifaceted approach required to meet this goal. A long lasting solution requires technological innovation, policy alignment, infrastructure development, and all hands on deck. My experiences have shown me that engineering plays a critical role in operationalizing clean energy solutions, and I am committed to contributing to a future where sustainable energy is not a privilege, but a global standard.
